Cuba Aliados 83rd Anniversary

This cigar was released in 2007 to commemorate more than 100 years of the Cuba Aliados Brand. Rolando (Puros Indios) Reyes began making Cuban Aliados cigars in Havana during the 1940's. After the revolution he moved his operation to Union City, NJ and Miami, and finally in 1989 to Danli, Honduras. These Anniversary cigars celebrate both the century-plus tradition of the Cuba Aliados brand name as well as the seven decades of Don Rolando Reyes’ work in the industry. Total production will be limited to between 200,000 and 300,000 cigars. These cigars come in a natural wrapper made of 6 year aged Ecuador Sumatra or a maduro wrapper made from 3 year aged Corojo. The binder is Ecuadorian Sumatra and the filler is a blend of tobaccos from Brazil, Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. With aromas of cocoa and carmel and a little zing of pepper at the end, Cuba Aliados 83rd Anniversary is best described as an easy going but sophisticated medium-bodied smoke.
